Event Description: The imagination awakens the wildness of the heart, it returns us to our native wildness, to the natural and seamless fluency of our own nature. ~ John O’Donohue

The soul wants imaginative responses that move it, delight it, deepen it. ~ James Hillman

Carl Jung’s “active imagination” is one of his most transformative practices. Yet it is seldom used to learn about oneself, to delve into deeper layers of the mind, and discern our next steps in life. Jung’s The Red Book: Liber Novus was largely the result of active imagination, and most of his ideas were conceived in this process. However, many people acquainted with these ideas do not have the opportunity to do the work that brings these to life, especially that of active imagination. With this as our starting point, the day draws upon developments in the use of imagination to determine our directions in life, including ideas from my book Resource Focused Counselling and Psychotherapy.  It will also consider life-limiting obstacles on the way. Through engaging with the deep imagination, we will also draw upon inner-enablers as resources on our path.
