Exploring Creativity, Embodiment, and Restorative Practice to generate inner and outer resources through movement and somatic practice, mark making/drawing, writing, and sharing.

Event Description: Changing States is in itself a practice-based research exploration. In this workshop, we will be sharing Themes and Intentions developed through HEART - a 4-year European funded project researching the field of burnout prevention and resilience. Within HEART Audicia was invited to share The Arc Process which she has devised and, along with 5 other European Arts and Outdoor Experiential Education organizations, to explore, dialogue and develop through a sharing of approaches and methodologies, the creation of combined practices that support the themes of Burnout prevention and Resilience. The Heart Project is a European Initiative and Erasmus + funded. “Audicia has an astounding ability to make creative connections between the diverse fields of study she has mastered. As facilitator she is able to consequently inspire insight and enthusiasm making it a delightful and lively journey for all. Coloured crayons if you have them. A blanket and cushion. Water bottle and any nibbles you need to sustain you. Clothes suitable to move in and maybe get messy in.
The ArC Process Methodology is offered under the banner of Alive Arts, a social enterprise company based in Scotland supporting personal, professional and community well being through the arts, healing practices, and indigenous wisdom teachings. Founded in 2014 by Audicia Lynne Morley and Derek Houghton with the support of the Scottish Social Enterprise Fund. The company is based at State Theta Galleries: a dedicated centre for the development of movement, health and the arts in East Lothian. The inspiration for her work was supported and developed by a Creative Scotland bursary in 2012 to explore the relationship between the arts and indigenous practice in New Mexico at the Ehama Institute.
Audicia Lynne Morley RSMT & RSME Artistic director of Alive Arts, Co-Director & Faculty of Tamalpa UK and State Theta Galleries.Choreographer, Dancer, Artistic Director of State Theta Galleries. Sheis a certificated Planetary Dance facilitator trained by Anna Halprin (USA). She has studied with Anna and Daria Halprin and the Tamalpa Institute since 1999 and served on the board of directors for the institute for 6 years. Her background includes over 30 years of experience in the field of the performing arts and health. She is also a fully qualified and registered bodywork, somatic therapist and teacher of Movement Shiatsu, Craniosacral Therapy, Aromatherapy, and Lymphatic Drainage Massage.(MRSS (T), CICA, RCST)Her studies and passion bridge both Eastern and Western approaches to the body/mind consciousness and include a unique approach to Experiential Anatomy. As a performer, she has worked with International Dance / Performance companies including: Rosemary Butcher Dance Company, Davis Glass Mime Ensemble, Tom Yang Dance, Theatre Workshop Scotland, The Traverse Theatre Company and Tom McGrath. Since 2005Audiciahas been involved in establishing a dedicated centre for the development of movement, health and the arts – State Theta Galleries, Scotland – where she currently lives and works. Her work is influenced by a deep interest in both Eastern and Western approaches to energy, consciousness, the body, and health.
