Event Description: Welcome to an afternoon of chanting, sounding, toning Celtic Mantras or Gutha as they are known in the Gaelic. You don’t have to be able to sing to be part of our gathering. There is no right way to sound the Gutha, like your own voice and its individual sound is absolutely acceptable and will form part of the vortex of sacred sound we can make together.
There will also be movement as we chant together as the body is very much a part of Celtic devotion. I will also teach you how to use the ancient Seabheann language of sounding the grief chant. So, come and be touched by each other’s heartbeat as we breathe together into these Gutha.
Phyllida loves to teach the old Celtic Gutha that she learned over 70 ago from her great grandmother in the mountains of Donegal. You will feel a sense of homing in your own heart as you repeat the Celtic words and sound them into the room and into the heart of each other.
NB: There will be no refund if you cancel your booking.
