Event: An Evening with Alastair McIntosh.

Title: In our Doom is our Dharma: Climate Change and Consciousness.

Chair: Jim Griffin is a psychotherapist and meditation teacher. He lives in the Scottish Borders and is currently working on adaptations to the climate emergency.

Time: Registration: 6.30pm-7pm. Talk: 7pm-8.45pm.
Event Description: Later this year Glasgow will host COP26, the United Nations’ gathering of heads of state to discuss action on climate change. What questions are raised about human potential, that goes beyond science, technology, and economics? This talk will explore the psychological causes and spiritual openings enfolded in the planetary crisis. It will be followed by a signing of Alastair’s climate change books, Hell and High Water (Birlinn 2008) and if it is out by then, Riders on the Storm (Birlinn 2020).
