Event: 2-Day Retreat: Walking our Talk - A Joyful Life.

Facilitator: Sister Ajahn Candasiri.
Venue: Hall, German Speaking Congregation, 1 Chalmers Crescent, Edinburgh, EH9 1TW.
Dates: Saturday 16 - Sunday 17 June 2018.
Time: Registration: 2.30pm-3pm. Retreat Days: 3pm-8.45pm.
Event Description: The weekend will be an opportunity to delve deeply into what it means to be a mortal human being and how we can make best use of this opportunity. We will use some Buddhist ceremonies and meditation practices, including walking meditation. We will be considering how these practices can be integrated into our daily lives. This will include finding skilful responses to stress with all its causes and in all its manifestations in order that the tangible qualities of peace and joy may be brought forth for the benefit of all.

Sister Ajahn Candasiri was born and grew up in Edinburgh. She has been a disciple of Ajahn Sumedho and has lived in Buddhist monastic community for almost forty years. During this time she has helped evolve a training for nuns of her tradition (the Forest Sangha tradition of Theravada Buddhism); she has also guided many retreats in the U.K. and abroad. Currently she resides at Milntuim Hermitage in Perthshire.
