Event Description: We are all “stumbling towards enlightenment” but we would prefer our stumbling to be basically a happy process. Heartfulness Meditation is a system that has ancient roots in Raja Yoga, yet it is a perfect way for us in these turbulent times to develop inner serenity and light-heartedness, to integrate spirituality with ordinary material life and to evolve as human beings day by day. Many of us want to see down-to-earth, practical changes in ourselves… to be able to cope better with the challenges and trials of living with ourselves and others, to become less fearful, less anxious and confused, more relaxed, efficient and clear. This heart-centred practice has effects that are tangible and long-lasting, bringing shifts in attitudes and old patterns of behaviour – even those that resist our best efforts to change! - and we find we are aligning with who we aspire to be.
The unique aspect of Heartfulness is ‘yogic transmission’. This forceless divine essence is a direct experience, something you can feel nourished by each day. It supports, enhances and deepens meditation. Something in us is reassured by feeling connected with our heart and with each other, and thus more at one with the world. We can relax and learn to let our heart’s intelligence show us the way.
During this retreat, you will have a full introduction to Heartfulness relaxation and meditation, to a simple clearing process that ‘resets’ our system, leaving us with a feeling of renewed lightness, and to other helpful aspects of this simple yet profound practice. We experience that working on ourselves does not have to be grungy or heavy but can be fundamentally a cheerful journey. We will explore how we might create a more heart-full environment for ourselves, both subtle and concrete, peek into the evolution of consciousness, the power of thought, and how to practically listen to the guidance of our hearts.
If you choose to continue exploring Heartfulness after this retreat, ongoing practice and support is available free of charge, with Liz or other HFN trainers.
Heartfulness meditation has been Liz’s spiritual practice for the past 30 years, following on from several years of Buddhist Zen practice.
