Event Description: We all want peace – but peace begins with us – it begins with individuals finding their own inner peace and living it outwardly.
We can learn to be active in bringing peace to our sometimes troubled inner lives – which helps us bring peace into our relationships – which in turn permeates our families, our communities - spreading out into the wider world.
This course of 6 sessions will be experiential and somewhat developmental, using chanting of sacred sounds and phrases, body prayers, dancing, meditation (silent and guided), walking meditations and maybe activities involving pairs or the whole group. It will draw on teachings and spiritual practices from the Universal Sufism brought by Hazrat Inayat Khan to the west, and it is hoped that the final session will include the Flag Ceremony of the World Peace Prayer Society.
