Event: Sri Chinmoy - Ancient Wisdom for the Here and Now: A Celebration.

Organisers: Jointly organised by the Edinburgh International Centre for Spirituality and Peace, EICSP, Scottish Charity, SC038996,  and the Edinburgh Sri Chinmoy Centre.
Venue: Sri Chinmoy Centre, Gladstone Court, 179 Canongate, Edinburgh, EH8 8BN. (Through arch and in at blue gate into courtyard).

Time: 10am-5pm. Registration from 9.30am.
Event Description: Sri Chinmoy (1931 - 2007) was the most remarkable of spiritual teachers - poet and philosopher, artist, singer and musician, athlete, and above all, man of peace. This one-day event is part of a weekend-long celebration in venues across the city, marking the 20th anniversary of Sri Chinmoy’s memorable Peace Concert in Edinburgh when some 4000 people came from all over Scotland and beyond to experience his music and his meditation. 

There will be two main sessions, with a break for lunch between 12.30 and 2. The day will end with a poetry / music performance.

The event is co-ordinated by author Alan Spence.

Join us in a tranquil courtyard setting for a day of talks and poetry, film screenings, meditation, music, story and song - a day of peace.

Event Description: An hour-long concert to lift your heart and soul, featuring compositions by Sri Chinmoy, arranged for Eastern and Western instruments and performed by Agnikana, an all-female music group from Czech Republic.
