Event Description: A way of celebrating Thich Nhat Hanh's life, in commemoration of his visit to Edinburgh in June 2003, and in memory of his passing.
As a way of celebrating his life, in commemoration of his visit to Edinburgh in 2003, and in memory of his passing, on Sunday 22 January 2023 at 1.30pm we will plant a plum tree for Thay in the Meadows Community Garden, depositing some ashes from his cremation and soil from the monastic community in Plum Village, France. The Edinburgh Wild Geese Sangha will offer chants and music and a short dedication.
Just come along on the day.
