Event: Online Zoom Forum: Diving into the Amazing Wisdom of your Nighttime Dreams.

Facilitator: Alison Whiteford.

Date: Sunday 29 May 2022.
Time: 7pm-8.30pm (UK time).

Event Description: I love listening to peoples’ dreams. It’s like being taken by the hand and led into a whole new landscape where each dream is tailor made for you by your unconscious. No-one else can tell you what your dream means and it will have many layers of meaning.

We learn from our dreams by following our curiosity and asking questions. Then we go on to work with the images, exploring the dream characters, ending unresolved dreams, immersing ourselves in the symbols and expressing the dream in art forms. Through dreamwork we can also face our nightmares and repetitive dreams and understand what our unconscious is telling us.

No change is possible without changing the inner first. What adventures the dreams can take us on as it is soulful work. When the soul leads the way magic happens, synchronicities appear, life becomes so much easier and our life force can move through us more fully.

In the Celtic psyche, dreamtime is important because the dream holds great and powerful messages. It is known as “The one who waits in the dark to sing a song of Life"

I will describe my own dreams and dreamwork to illustrate the techniques and tell you the impact working on my dreams has had in my life and the adventures they have taken me on.

We will have time for questions and discussion afterwards.

Alison lives in the hills outside of Edinburgh and has worked on her dreams for 40 years.

She has a degree in psychology, trained in dreamwork at Wellspring with Hilary Scaife and then completed a course in counselling. The way she works with dreams is informed by Carl Jung.

Her dreams have taken her on many unexpected paths and for 10 years she sculpted and exhibited animal forms from her dreams without doing any art training. She is now running dream groups and doing individual sessions, helping people to understand their dreams.

Alison is an initiate of Brid of Scotland and Brigid of Ireland.
